Ralph Westfall
I worked in industry for 26 years (Mattel, Security Pacific National Bank, and Bank of America). I taught part-time at 6 universities before coming to California Polytechnic in Pomona in 1999. I have a BA in Psychology and an MBA in Marketing from UCLA, a 2nd Masters degree in Business Administration from USC and a Ph.D. in Management of Information Systems from Claremont Graduate University in 1997. I have published in CACM, CAIS, ISM, and JCIS, and wrote a chapter in Virtual Workplace. I was selected to be in a 1998 National Research Council information technology literacy workshop, and also for the MERLOT (multimedia educational resource for learning and on-line teaching) project in 2000. My research interests include Internet technologies including XML, eCommerce, the virtual office and other forms of remote work, distance learning, other applications of information technology in education at all levels, information technology literacy, and open access publishing. I was born again in 1971 and currently attend Grace Community Church in Seal Beach.
